Asanga Abeyagoonasekera is an international security and geopolitics analyst, strategic advisor, and author with nearly two decades of experience in government and policy advisory roles. He serves as Executive Director of the South Asia Foresight Network (SAFN) under the Millennium Project (Washington, DC). He was the Founding Director General of the Institute of National Security Studies Sri Lanka (INSS) under the Ministry of Defence and provided technical advice to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on governance diagnostics. He is also a long-standing member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Expert Network.
